Notification of Saudi Ministry of Hajj

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia warns foreign pilgrims and residents of the Kingdom about the legal consequences of performing Hajj without a special permit during the Hajj-2024 season;

In order to maintain order and prevent violations during the Hajj-2024 season, the Saudi Government has introduced strict punishment measures;

Citizens traveling to Saudi Arabia with pilgrimage (tourist) visa, Umrah visa, business visa and other types of visas must leave the territory of Saudi Arabia before the VISA TERM expires;

Pilgrimage (tourist) visa, Umrah visa and other types of visas are not allowed. THESE ACTIONS ARE CONSIDERED ILLEGAL.

BEWARE! Strict measures are prescribed in the Saudi legislation for violating the visa period, staying in Saudi territory, overstaying the visa period, and performing Hajj with visas other than the Hajj visa. Violation of this provision is punishable by 10 years of deportation or 6 months in prison.

BEWARE! A fine of 50,000 Saudi Riyals ($13,400) has been imposed on pilgrims, individuals, travel agencies and organizations who violate this rule.
